Got Plyometrics?
Plyometric training is a greatly debated subject in the athletic training/performance industry.
Some trainers and coaches swear by plyos, claiming that it can dramatically improve an athletes vertical jump.
However, others strongly disagree, claiming that it only leads to injuries.
In my opinion, both groups are right (to an extent).
Plyometrics, if performed correctly, can dramatically improve your vertical leap.
However, plyometrics can also cause serious injury if perfomed incorrectly.
It is therefore a double-edged sword when it comes to vertical jump training.
To make matters worse, there are a gazillion plyometric exercises and drills, and it is difficult to know which ones work and which ones don’t.
I have written an in-depth article with everything you need to know about plyometrics.

I don’t do too much of plyometric lunges, but they are an effective exercise.
