Plyometrics

I’ve been receiving many questions on plyometrics, but I’ve noticed that nobody ever talks about

upper body plyometrics.

Most vertical jump programs always focus on lower body plyometric drills, and I’ve noticed that it’s extremely difficult to find good info about upper body plyos on the internet.

I personally think that upper body plyos are the missing ingredient in most athletes workouts.

Everyone has heard of depth jumps and done them many times, but how many athletes do you know who perform upper body depth jumps?

Just as lower body plyometric strength is important in developing quickness and explosion in your legs, you need the same quickness and explosion in your upper body if you want to reach your athletic potential.

The best dunkers in the world have incredible upper body strength, and if you want to have a 40+ inch vertical, you need to consider adding upper body plyos to your workouts.

So, what are the different types of upper body plyometric exercises?

I’m glad you asked!
