There are literally HUNDREDS of vertical jump programs available today.
Unfortunately, 99% of them are complete crap and don’t work at all!
They are full of outdated, rehashed, and totally irrelevant information.
I have tried and tested dozens of vertical jump programs over the years.
These vertical jump program reviews are based on my personal experience as well as those of the athletes I have trained over the years.

Hey i too am 14 but unlike rumen I have not been the short guy. I am 6’5″ and can dunk already. So why should i buy this book to improve my vertical if the goal is already achieved?

I am also 14, I can almost touch rim right now and I am five foot eight and a half. I wouldnt have very good access to a gym for the weight lifting. So should I get this or not? I am going to be a freshman and I want to be able to dunk by the time basketball season comes around. It would be sweet.

Wsup Christian. Yes, you can still use the Jump Manual because it has a body weight program if you don’t want to do weights.

Hello Deran I have some exercises for you. Do squats. Crouch down using your calves and keep your back straight, do this as many times as you feel you can. Toe raises are also an effective exercise to increase your vertical. go on your toes and then slowly come back down. Explosive squats have the same beginning as regular spuats but you jump as high as you can after squatting in a rather quick motion. Jacknives are good too. Lie on your back with arms overhead and bend upward and touch your toes. Box jumps are nice also. Take a platform about 8-14 inches of the ground and jump on it then jump back down and repeat. you can also jump over the box and back or jump sideways over the box. Jump on one or two stairs and then jump back down. Jump rope a lot, and run up stairs using ankle weights and also add ankle weights or dumbells to your workout and rope jumping. I don’t know much about the long jump, I”m really sorry about that. This is the vertical jump exercise that I do everyday I usually do more exercises, and I have already gained 2 inches in just 2 weeks. I used to have a 17 inch vertical and know I have a 19 inch vertical and when jumping can touch a 7 foot 6 1/2 inch rim. I really want you to know that you shouldn/t strain yourself. Take 5 days to workout and 2 to rest thats what I do. Well I hope you will be jumping higher soon!

Can you help me out? I have no hops!!!!!! Please let me know if you can help?
July 19th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
Hey Spencer. From personal experience, I can tell you that the Jump Manual will work. It helped me get over the 40 inch plateau and its also helped thousands of other athletes improve their vertical jump. I highly recommend the program. Also check out my other content on this website for more on vertical jump training.

jump manual is for real. Im going into 8th grade. In may, I couldnt touch rim and now Im dunking a volleyball. That also doesn’t count the 2-3 weeks i took off for vacation sickness, sorness, football etc. If you have to choose a program choose jump manual, if you do it right you will see results!

Are the Jump Manual, Truth about quickness and effective ball handling program effective if I do all of them at once
Cheers
April 12th, 2010 at 1:19 pm
Hey Bernie. I would do them SEPARATELY, depending on your goals and priorities. Doing them together will lead to over-training.
